1. Acceptance of Terms
By inviting the Argus Discord bot to your Discord server or accessing our web dashboard at argusbot.dev, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please remove Argus from your server and cease use of the service.
2. Nature of Service & Permissions
Argus provides autonomous server defense, raid mitigation, anti-spam, link protection, role governance, and forensic logging utilities.
- Server Hierarchy: You acknowledge that for Argus to neutralize malicious administrators or rogue bots, its role must be placed higher in the role hierarchy than the members or roles it is set to protect.
- Automated Actions: When configured security thresholds are breached (e.g. mass deletions, join floods, prohibited domain sharing), Argus will automatically issue kicks, bans, timeouts, or role revocations per your settings.
- Owner Authority: Sensitive administrative configurations (such as Whitelist management and emergency lockouts) are reserved exclusively for the verified Discord Server Owner.
3. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to misuse Argus or assist any third party in doing so. Specifically, you agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, bypass, or flood Argus rate limits and API endpoints.
- Deploy Argus in servers involved in malware distribution, targeted harassment, or illegal activities that violate Discord's Community Guidelines.
- Impersonate Argus developers or claim official representation beyond normal guild usage.
4. Argus Pro Subscriptions
Argus offers optional paid subscriptions ("Argus Pro") providing enterprise rollbacks, prioritized bot shards, and extended logging.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled prior to the billing cycle expiration.
- Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis through our official support server.
- We reserve the right to modify pricing tiers with reasonable advance notification.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Contact
Argus is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While our multi-layer architecture is engineered for 99.9% uptime and sub-second defense response, we are not liable for actions resulting from misconfigured permissions, Discord API outages, or compromised owner accounts.
